If your living room is on small side, make sure you are aware of the furniture pieces you are placing into that room. It's important never to overburden a smaller space with too many furniture pieces or too large of furniture. The placement of furniture and area rugs in a small space is vital. To be able to visually expand the area, keep furniture toward the wall surfaces. Clumping furniture too close alongside one another, or too nearby the center of the area, will visibly shrink an already small space.
If you use your living area as an area where you watch television or movies often the keeping the furniture and Tv set or projector is even more important. Adding the television and seats furniture along complete opposite walls is usually the best and perhaps only solution, proper keeping an area rug can help maintain your room from aesthetically shrinking. Place the region rug before or underneath the television set then place the furniture along the opposite outside advantage of the rug. This aesthetically expands your floor space and can keep you from feeling too cramped. If possible, use a spherical or oval designed rug to remove a boxy feel.
