Any room appears larger when it's filled with natural light. Most apartments rentals come supplied with mini blinds, but if you want to make the room look bigger there's a simple trick that actually makes windows show up larger. Hang a curtain rod that is around double the width of the windowpane; use light or brightly colored sheers that are drawn back again to both sides. You may want to hang the pole near the roof to provide the impression of an tall windowpane as well.
During your apartment, use fixtures that are light shaded to make the rooms look bigger. Dark colors make an area recede; lighter colours aesthetically increase space. Consider light fine sand, pastel peach, butter yellow and other light colours for upholstery, accent rugs and draperies. You can add additional splashes of color with highlight pillows and throws.
Apartment kitchens can be so tiny that only 1 person can maintain the room at the same time. Keep counters cleaned out off by positioning small appliances, bakery, chips, food and other items away in cupboards or the pantry if is available.
